SITTIN' ON TOP OF THE WORLD 2 (traditional) Sittin' on Top of the World 2 Sample Patrick VW: vocals, nylon guitar, bass Dennis OHanlon: shaker, resonator guitars Ron Depalma: mandolin Recorded By: Delbi Smart, Patrick VW Mixed by Patrick VW Sittin' on top of the World 2 This was recorded the same night as Swampy Breeze and was actually cut first. It was Dennis and I on acoustics. I played the nylon guitar tuned down a step and to an open E chord. Dennis then played Peters resonator guitar and added the solo tracks. He also added a shaker track. Ron DePalma came in and added a great mandolin track. I then added a bass track. Bernice Simon and I had tried a vocal track on it together but it never felt right since it was in a different key so we left it off. I just did my own track and then added a double voice on the chorus sections and the last verse. As you can see, I really like this song and will play it in different versions. |
