Ted Iliff is a media consultant in Arlington, VA, and also the senior mentor for the journalism development program at United Press International in Washington. He has worked in the international arena for more than 30 years, as an executive, journalist, consultant and educator. His resume ranges from CNN and USA Today to TV newsrooms in Montenegro and Albania and Radio Free Europe in Germany. He inaugurated a counseling organization's international division, introduced TV news production to the Voice of America, managed government-run news media in Iraq, and designed a Web-based radio news service in Kosova. He taught journalism in Turkey and Armenia, mentored counselor educators in Afghanistan, keynoted conferences in California (this one) and Malaysia, emceed professional meetings in India and China, and conducted media relations and writing seminars across the United States
